Carlos' career started in radio in Portugal but most of it was spent in London working for BBC World Service. It was here that Carlos became established and built a solid career in voice-over recordings for a variety of clients. These include Volvo, Ford, Jaguar, Adidas, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, Easyjet and Ubisoft, to name only a few.

Commercial, radio and TV work also include MTV, Xbox, Cartoon Network, Adidas, BBC Prime, Skechers, Hallmark Channel, Discovery Channel, Disney Channel, Canon, Flexleigh Audio Guides, Big Bus Tours, Sony PS3.

Carlos' voice has been described as mid-range and confident. His delivery is sharp and informative at the same time conveying a sense of reassurance. In addition to corporate projects, Carlos' voice also features regularly in many games, animations and children’s TV. These include Skechers adverts as well as promos for Nickelodeon and Pokémon.
