Who is it for?
Voiceovers.co.uk is for those voiceover artists who have their own professional recording studio; who are available at short notice and who have the technical abilities to self-record or arrange sessions using an IP link up service (such as ipDTL or SourceConnect Now).
It's not designed for jobbing voiceover artists who would need to visit an external studio.
It's not designed for part-time voices or those where voiceover work is a sideline (e.g. those who have another day-job and just record in evenings and weekends).
Most of our voiceovers are UK based, but we also feature worldwide talent who are looking for work in the UK market.
Overview
The aim of a Voiceovers.co.uk subscription is to bring you voiceover work within the UK market.
The website has two main elements:
1) the search engine at the front page at www.voiceovers.co.uk, and
2) individual profile pages with more detailed information on each voiceover artist.
Voiceovers.co.uk is well established and used by many UK producers and production companies, and has been running for over 20 years. We have built a reputation as the website to visit to find the best in UK voiceover talent.
Our website is designed so that UK companies and independent producers can find, review and book voiceover artists - normally directly. Many types of projects are cast using the website, including:
- Radio adverts (local and national)
- Telephone on-hold and menu recordings
- Promotional trails
- Imaging
- eLearning/company training
- Video games
- TV continuity
- TV adverts
- System announcements
- Corporate video narration
- Documentary narration
- Audio books
and more...
Voiceovers.co.uk is also designed to capture those clients who would prefer someone to manage and arrange their recordings on their behalf, a service which Voiceovers Ltd. offers.
How to apply?
A subscription to Voiceovers.co.uk is currently by invitation only.
To get 'on our radar' please create a voice profile on our website - this is basically an area where you can specify your booking details, rate expectations and administer your demo audio.
Once we know more about you, we can advise you if we believe any of our websites/services would be of use to you.
How much does it cost?
A Voiceovers.co.uk subscription currently costs:
£120+VAT yearly renewal fee.
Prior to subscription expiry most voices are offered a renewal, but this is not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to not offer a renewal. Perhaps due to 'stagnated' demos or information, changes to circumstances (e.g. availability) or perhaps negative feedback from clients (e.g. bad studio sound). We also look a the amount of work going through the site and may change who is featured based on the demand for certain styles etc.
We reserve the right to change our fees over time.
We may chose to feature some voices without charging a subscription fee (typically voices with a native foreign language skill). In this scenario potential clients liaise with us, instead of direct with the voice, and we add on a booking fee on a job by job basis instead of charging a subscription fee.
What can I add to the website?
As a paying subscriber you can switch your profile page into 'Admin Mode' which allows you to do the following:
- Add, remove, update demo audio
- Add, remove, update a photo
-Modify the textual content on your website, such as the headline text, description and previous clients sections.
- Add embedded videos hosted on Youtube and Vimeo to showcase previous work
- Access your Booking Preferences where you can set your generally availability, thoughts on custom samples, and other booking related preferences.
Notes on our terms and conditions
The website is designed for producers to easily listen and compare voiceover artists demos, information, capabilities and availability.
You are responsible for the content you feature, ensuring it is legal, not offensive, does not breach any licenses or copyrights, and abides by our terms and conditions.
We may set a limit on the number of demos you feature on the website, number of videos you embed, and the size of some textual sections of the website. We may alter/delete content at any time, which can include reprocessing demo audio (for volume consistency) and renaming demo titles. This is to ensure a fair-use policy, to enforce some consistency between profile pages, for SEO or search engine purposes, and to ensure our terms and conditions are being followed.
For our website to be effective marketing for all of our voiceover artists it's designed so producers will stay on our website and not be led away. To this aim, we discourage using Voiceovers.co.uk to promote other online voice profiles, personal or agency websites, podcasts or Youtube channels etc. and may alter content to enforce this.
We recommend your demo audio be kept simple, containing clips of recent work within a specific industry area. We suggest avoiding name-checking your demo audio at the start/end or providing your contact details within your demo audio itself. This is because many clients wish to share your audio with their end clients but can be discouraged if this information is included.
We reserve the right to block or restrict features and content when the site is accessed from specific IP addresses and locations. For example when the system believes content is being used outside of it's scope - such as if we think a visitor is trying to 'mine' email addresses for spam.
We will not use your demos or recordings for any AI purposes, for example, machine learning/training or to create an AI clone of your voice - without your express, and clear permission.
