Dutch is a West Germanic language spoken by around 24 million people as a first language, including the majority of people in the Netherlands and approximately 60% of the population in Belgium, particularly in Flanders, the northern part of the country. Dutch is also an official language in Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean.
In the context of voiceover recordings, Standard Dutch (based on the dialect spoken in and around Amsterdam) is often used for content aimed at a broad audience across the Dutch-speaking world. The language is known for its distinctive hard 'g' sound, which is notably softer in some southern dialects and in Flemish. (Flemish is not a separate language, but rather a term used to describe the Dutch language as spoken in Belgium).
Have a listen through our Top Ten most popular and talented Dutch voiceovers. These Dutch voices are all native speakers from the Netherlands/Holland. We also have a separate section if you're looking for Flemish (Belgian Dutch) voice artists.
We can shortlist, cast and produce the full voice recording for your project.
