Studio 5 - Remote-Enabled Studio
Studio 5 is our dedicated remote recording and production space.
It has been designed to support directed recording sessions, live collaboration and production workflows without requiring everyone to be physically present. While in-person recording can be facilitated if necessary, Studio 5 is primarily used as a connected production environment.
The studio allows producers, directors, voice artists and clients to work together in real time while recording takes place.
Remote Direction and Live Sessions
Studio 5 supports live directed sessions, allowing clients and producers to join recordings remotely and provide feedback as sessions progress.
The space can connect using a range of external platforms including Zoom, FaceTime and similar remote communication tools depending on project requirements.
Video feeds can also be incorporated where helpful, allowing sessions to feel more connected and collaborative.
Voice to Picture (V2P)
Studio 5 supports Voice to Picture workflows.
This allows voice recording to take place while working against visual content, helping maintain timing, pacing and delivery against picture where required.
This workflow is commonly used across radio and television production, particularly for commercial projects and productions where timing and approval are important.
Live Editing and Production Support
One of Studio 5’s strengths is the ability to support live editing during recording sessions.
Clients can follow the production process while recording is underway, making reviews and adjustments more efficient and reducing the need for lengthy revision stages later.
Studio 5 also supports audio restoration workflows using tools such as RX where required.
Access to multiple Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) allows projects to be approached using the most appropriate production workflow for the session, and the delivery requirements of any recorded audio.
Also, Studio 5 facilitates the live mixing and re-timing of any provided sound effects or music with any voice recordings to complete a production. For example radio and television commercials, which require the mixing of elements for broadcasting.
Connected Studio Environment
Studio 5 is connected to Studios 2 and 3, allowing it to run sessions from these two studios if the project requires additional spaces for guests or production requirements.
This creates flexibility for more complex projects and helps support productions requiring additional recording or monitoring spaces.
Capacity and Additional Uses
Studio 5 can facilitate in-person recording sessions involving up to four people.
The space also includes a GoPro setup where visual capture is required as part of the production.
Although not designed primarily as a podcast studio, Studio 5 can also be used for podcast recording and discussion-led productions where suitable.
