Hi, I’m Bhavnisha - but most people call me Bhav.

I'm an award-winning actress and voiceover artist with a background in screen and stage, and a passion for authentic, inclusive storytelling.

You might know me as Sonya Khan from Doctor Who (Seasons 11–13). I’ve also appeared in the award-winning web series Brothers With No Game and the indie drama Aami and Frank, opposite Ricci Harnett.

My voice is warm, clear, dynamic, fun and honest - from grounded and conversational to characterful and playful - which allows me to move easily between commercials, animation, video games, documentaries, eLearning, and more.

Clients work with me for my ability to bring sincerity, nuance, and energy to every brief. And I love working with them to find the perfect tone to help messages land in a way that feel genuine and engaging.

I’ve voiced for brands including Apple, Nivea, Oral B, Calm, Twitter, HSBC, and Spotify, and currently narrate for the Calm app, voice multiple characters in an upcoming AAA games, and am a resident host on BBC Asian Network (The Chill Show).

I’ve been nominated for multiple industry awards including the One Voice Awards, VOX, and SOVAS in LA, and was proud to receive a Telly Award for my voice work with DPD.

Outside the booth, I’m passionate about championing diversity and representation in media — and telling stories that reflect the world we live in.
