Arabic is a Semitic language predominantly spoken in the Arab world, which is composed of 22 countries stretching across the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of these nations and is spoken by over 420 million people worldwide, making it one of the most spoken languages globally. Arabic has many distinct dialects, which vary from country to country and even within regions of the same country.

When it comes to voiceover recordings and narrations, Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is most commonly used. MSA, or فُصْحَى‎ (Fus-ha), is the standard and formal version of Arabic that is used across the Arab world in written documents, literature, news broadcasts, and formal speech. It is taught in schools and is understood by Arabic speakers despite their regional dialects. MSA tends to be used for voiceover work in order to maintain comprehensibility across all Arabic-speaking regions, considering the high degree of variation among local dialects. (Although for some media aimed at a specific regional audience, or when a more informal or intimate tone is needed, voiceovers might be recorded in a local dialect).

In Arabic we specialise in e-Learning recordings, telephone recordings and company videos. Please listen to our Arabic voiceover artists below.
