Finnish voiceover artists

Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language, related to Estonian and a few minority languages in Russia, and it is one of the two official languages of Finland. It is spoken by about five million people, most of whom live in Finland.

Finland has a strong tradition of subtitling foreign films and TV shows rather than dubbing them (though dubbing is common for content aimed at children). This means that voiceover artists working in Finnish specialise in advertising, corporate videos, and narration for documentaries, rather than in dubbing film or TV programmes.

There are several dialects of Finnish, but the standard language ('yleiskieli'), which is used in formal speech and most written texts, is universally understood and commonly used in voiceover recordings.
