Things that affect the price of a voiceover
- The voice you choose
There’s no single rate which applies to all voices so costs will depend on the specific voice you’re recording with.
If you’re stuck wondering “How do I choose a voice over?” don’t worry, our friendly team can help by suggesting voices that complement the content you're creating and that fits the budget you're working with.
- How you’d like to record
Some people prefer to direct the voice recording session as it takes place. This typically suits a commercial voice recording where the specifics of the delivery have more significance. In that scenario we can patch you into the studio via Zoom to direct the voiceover.
The majority of our recordings are completed undirected (you choose a style from the voice’s demo reel) which is more cost effective and suited to corporate projects such as staff training tutorials.
- The length and complexity of the script
If the script is long it can take longer to record which means more studio, voice and editing time. If the script is complex with heavy technical terms this may also extend the recording time.
- Where and for how long the recording will be used
For example, are you creating a short recording to present to a limited number of staff internally? Or will the recording be viewed by many more people such as in a commercial campaign?
Online use might depend on how many edits you’re creating and how widely it’ll be distributed.
If it’s for use on television the cost would normally be based on the TVRs (television ratings) of the campaign.
